First of all, I wanted to welcome you to our Chapel here at the Institution and let you know also that many of us, here at Martin C.I. are truly thankful for your arrival.
I attended your last Friday’s service. From the bottom of my heart, I personally believe that it has been one of the best and more fulfilling messages I have heard in the past years of my stay in this Institution. So, thank you for allowing the power of the Holy Spirit to fluctuate throughout your person. As you very well pointed out, there is a reason why you are here in this Institution serving God and of course, only He knows the mysterious purpose of your presence here.
I was very pleased with your teaching on understanding the real meaning of being “Saints” or “Christ Followers.” But more importantly of all, the depth of your message in reference to being qualified, not just to follow Christ but equally qualified to serve Him in His Kingdom!
I have nothing but great respect for those, like you, who stand in our churches each week. I respect and appreciate your competence. You are smart and a great communicator. You have the ability to take a passage of biblical text and pull out the truths that bring us comfort and guide us toward right living.
I perceive that you love people so much you are willing to earn far below the level of your education so we can know God. I admire your compassion.
I respect your commitment to Jesus and His mission. Because you love Him so much you answered the call to go into an incredibly unstable and difficult profession. I respect your vision. You see us in your Church as what we could be, not just what we currently are. And for this I say “Thank You.”
I know that I and countless others in this Institution will thank you every day for eternity because you were willing to pay a personal price others did not. And because you paid that price with your obedience to His call, I am certain that many others I know here, will meet Jesus.
You may not think anyone notices your obedience. But this is not true. In fact, soon you will start to receive the love and respect that you deserve. And I just want to encourage you to be patient. After all, this is a controversial environment but God is in control!
Sincerely,
Ernesto Behrens.
